Hello neighbors! Oak is extremely happy to announce a new whiskey offering — Uncle Nearest.
Oak is one of very few locations in the entire PNW to have all 3 Uncle Nearest expressions.
This whiskey is named for the first African American Master Distiller on record in the US.
Aged barrels are hand-selected by the brand’s founders, and the batches curated by descendants of Nearest Green, blended by Victoria Eady-Butler who is the first and only African-American Master Blender for a major spirits brand.

This is the Derbyshire Cottage Pie - currently on Oak’s specials menu. A recipe brought to us by one of our lovely staff, who grew up in the United Kingdom and enjoyed this recipe throughout their childhood (thank you for sharing with us!!). Savory Painted Hill’s ground beef with peas, carrots, onions, leeks, and celery, seasoned and topped with creamy mashed potatoes and shaved Parmesan cheese. The perfect dish to warm you up on a drizzly winter day!

It’s the Candle-Bear brigade! If you have visited The Den (Oak’s back room) in the past couple of weeks, you may have noticed a member of the Candle-Bear brigade at your table. These beautiful bears are another work of amazing art from one of Oak’s owners, Kelly Staton. She hand created each unique little bear, making The Den even more of an amazing cozy space. In case you did not know, she is also responsible for all the amazing mural work on the walls of the dining room and bar. So much love and thought goes into the decor at Oak! Thank you for this, Kelly!

Howdy folks! There’s another round of debates tomorrow night! Unfortunately, we will not be playing them in The Den with sound this time around, due to a large party reservation that will be taking the room. BUT! Do not despair! We will have the debates running on both TVs in the bar with subtitles. A little more reading, a little less listening, but still all the best company, food, and drinks!!
Guess whaaaaat?!? That’s right, The Globe, Oak’s annual special dish paying homage to Globe’s famous mushroom gravy. It has all those essential Thanksgiving staples - marinated and grilled tofu served on an open-face sandwich smothered in mushroom gravy, served with mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce! And it’s all vegan! (We also offer a roasted turkey version!)
