Oak’s owner, Jeff, did an awesome thing yesterday... he volunteered and bartended for the 20th annual Furry 5K here in Seattle! It was their first year having a beer garden, and it was very successful! It was a lovely day of raising funds for the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation, and lounging in the sun with many furry friends. You may have noticed dog portraits on the walls of Oak over the years. Jeff has been a dog-father himself many times over and has a huge passion for our four-legged friends. Please check out the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation’s official Furry 5K website for additional information. They do this wonderful event every year, and do great things for our local dogs and cats! https://www.furry5k.com
Today marks the third Friday that Oak’s new room, The Den, is open to the public! Tomorrow, however, will be the first Saturday The Den will be open to the public... and to celebrate the new room and add some awesome to the party, we will be hosting DJ Vanderbeck, who will be spinning all vinyl records in The Den featuring New Wave, Vintage R&B, and Dance Classic from 7pm to 10pm. Come party with us!
Many of Oak’s regulars are well acquainted with the “Oly & Crow” special we have offered since our opening day. The special consists of an Olympia tall boy accompanied by a shot of Old Crow, which is Oak’s house bourbon. Just this week, we have added a new exciting option to the Oak boiler-maker drink special - The Stubby and Crow! The Stubby is our only bottled lager option, brewed by Seattle’s very own Lowercase Brewing. The Seattle Lite “stubby” is Lowercase’s attempt at making a refreshing domestic lager - giving Oak customers a much better and local option as opposed to the widely known names such as Bud Lite or Coors Lite. It’s delicious, give it a shot next time you are at Oak! It’s $7 during Happy Hour, and $8 during regular service times. Welcome to the menu, Stubby & Crow!
Hello neighbors! Oak has been granted the ability to seek approval for a Sidewalk Cafe permit. A public comment period will be open until June 17th to allow folks a chance to cheer for the ability to dine outside. Please email this address publicspace@seattle.gov and include Oak’s permit # : “3019 Beacon Ave S.”
Let the city know you welcome this new addition to our neighborhood. As always, we at Oak are always so grateful for the support of our neighbors. Next time you’re strollin’ by Oak, check out our sidewalk café application notice (pictured here) and proposed seating plans, hanging up in our front window next to the giant Oak symbol!
Meet Lexi, one of Oak’s awesome cooks and host! It was her birthday a couple days ago, and at work, another of Oak’s amazing team members, Harlotte, presented her with an original painting of a unicorn! We feel so lucky to have such wonderful (and super talented!) people in our little crew. Happy birthday, Lexi! You are a gem, girl! And dang, Harlotte, that painting is amazing! 💝🦄🎉🎂🎈
Hey friends! It’s last call for Oak’s Buffalo Cauliflower Wings! We will be serving them through the weekend, but Sunday is their last day on the specials menu. Don’t worry if you can’t make it in for them this weekend - our Buffalo Cauliflower “wings” with Oak’s housemade vegan ranch and tangy buffalo sauce is a customer favorite, and we bring them back on the specials menu every few months. To know what special menu items we are offering currently, follow Oak on instagram or check our news blog on our website! Be on the lookout for some tasty new items debuting on Monday!
Tonight (Friday) AND Sunday at 5pm for game 2 of NBA Finals! Oak is known for often playing Bob Ross videos in our bar, but we also enjoy the Sports Ball as much as anyone! Our new room, we’re calling the Bear Den, has a gorgeous 4K 55” tv and a fancy separate 4 speaker sound system. We will be opening it up this Sunday at 5pm to play game 2 of the NBA Finals with sound pumping through the speakers! Seating is 1st come - 1st serve, starting at 4:30pm. The Den is also open to the public every Friday, with more days to come. 🏀🍻
For some of us, rosé season is all the time, but there is no denying the spike in popularity rosé receives with the arrival of blue skies and sunshine! Though we only have one type of rosé here at Oak, it was very carefully chosen. We tasted dozens of brands of rosé before deciding on Provenance. This delightful pink beverage is not too dry, and not too sweet... it lands right in the “Goldilocks zone”... just right! Have a glass or buy a bottle for the table and enjoy! 🌹🍷🌹
Oak’s new extension to the 21+ lounge is open tonight, Friday May 24th!
Never be without a seat at Oak again! (We’re pretty sure about that..) #seattlevegan #seattlerestaurants #beaconhillseattle #oakseattle
What’s your summertime drink jam? What do you take on picnics, or beaches, boat rides, or camping trips? How about a hard seltzer? Who doesn’t love the refreshment of an ice cold fizzy beverage, lightly flavored with fresh fruit (or vegetable in the case of cucumber!), accompanied by that relaxing buzz inspired by summertime?! Right now, Oak is carrying a very special strain of hard seltzer, made by a local company who uses quality organic ingredients! Sound Craft Seltzer is a company branch of Two Beers Brewing, which is a much loved local brewing establishment of Seattle. Visit https://soundseltzer.com to learn more about the company or where you can buy their product, but remember to try it out here at Oak, where we proudly represent awesome, locally made, high quality adult beverages! As the folks at Sound Craft Seltzer say, “Stay Cool”!
Klara, one of Oak’s treasured cooks, has brought her take on Tom Kah Soup to the table - Thai coconut cream, mushroom, and tofu soup with flavors of ginger, lime, and garlic. We thank Klara for her delicious contribution to Oak’s menu and for sharing these wonderful flavors with our tastebuds! Come by Oak and try a cup!
The Spicy Toadstool - now on Oak’s specials menu! It’s our take on a classic mushroom-Swiss burger - 1/3 lb organic country beef patty piled with sliced mushrooms that have been sautéed with garlic, then topped with a double dose of melty Swiss cheese with our house-made special jalapeño aioli. Satisfying to the core!

Hey friends! Today is the second Friday that we will be opening The Den at 7pm, which is Oak’s new 21+ room! Enjoy ambient lighting, unique bear art, and table service in Oak’s addition! .
Most of us would agree... social media sites can bog a person down with all kinda of unneeded drama, product ads, depressing news stories, and who-knows what else!? As of just a few weeks ago, Oak finally obtained it’s very own website, so for those that have been trying to avoid the mess of media feeds that can be stressful or accidentally claim too much of your time, we have an alternative for you. Visit our website at oak-seattle.com and skip the drama barrage of social media sites! We have a newsfeed link directly on the homepage, and also easy access to current bar and dinner menus!
Oak’s beer selection is carefully curated by the owner, Jeff, along with employees of Oak who enjoy a good beer! Today we had a visit from representatives from Lowercase brewing, one of Seattle’s amazing local breweries. Jeff and one of our awesome bartenders, Sunnie, are tasting some potential options for some new beer options! Stay tuned for which one is chosen. Also, give Lowercase a visit sometime - they are located right off airport way in Georgetown, just a hop and skip from Oak. If you discover an awesome beer there, be sure to share it with us here at Oak so we can put it in the running for a potential draft beer in the future. Cheers for beers! 🍺🍻🍺🍻
The soft opening of Oak’s new room, “The Den”, was a success! If you didn’t get a chance to stop in last night, don’t worry - we will be opening The Den at 7pm once again on Friday! 🍻
Join us Friday, May 10th (tomorrow!!), for the soft opening of Oak’s new addition, “The Den”! Come enjoy the Oak atmosphere in a new, unique, ambient, and well-curated space that can accommodate up to thirty people. You must be 21+ to enter The Den. To find The Den, wander to the back of the bar, and look through the doorway to your left. If you spot the polar bear on the wall, you have made it! The Den will open at 7pm (the rest of the restaurants opens at 4pm). See you Friday night!
Oak is embracing the future in the sense that we now offer eGift cards! We have been rollin’ old school with paper gift certificates for all these years, but alas, it is 2019 and the trees are not getting more plentiful! The eGift cards are easy to purchase, easy to use, and NOT easy to lose! To purchase one, simply click on the “Gift Cards” link on our website homepage (https://oak-seattle.com/gift-cards), and provide the requested information. You can send the gift card directly to the recipients email address. A number is provided, and all you have to do is present this number to your server when you are ready to settle up, and they can redeem the gift for you. Nothing beats the gift of a delicious meal, awesome cocktails, and great service!
