In our mission to provide more options for our guests that are both gluten-free and vegan, grilled blackened tofu is on our menu permanently! It can be added as a protein on any of our salads, or switched out as the protein in a sandwich (don’t forget to ask for a gluten-free bun!) to have a vegan & gluten free meal. 😋

Check out what the Oak team was up to this week… Jeff (Oak’s owner) set up a CPR class for the staff, and now we are pleased to say that at least one of us on staff at all times is adult/child/infant CPR certified!! As much as we really don’t want anyone to choke or go into cardiac arrest at Oak, we are super excited to have the skills to respond to such an incident! ⛑️
And thanks to Brent from Medic 1 for teaching us this invaluable skill!

Chess Club is back in session this evening, after Oak’s little staff-wide appreciation vacation.
Come through for some friendly rivalry on the Chess board! 6-10pm every Wednesday, free to play, all ages/all levels welcome, boards and clocks provided! All you need is to know how to play 😁
For those who are seeking a cozy place place to have a bite and drink amongst some stellar folk while watching the presidential debate this evening, Oak will be playing it with sound on in The Den (Oak’s back room area, past the bar!). For those who would rather not, don’t worry! The bar and dining room will remain business as usual!

Looking for a delicious non-alcoholic beverage? Try Oak’s Shrub, concocted of house-made acidulated fruit syrup with soda! The flavor rotates; right now we are serving a very refreshing and satisfying Blueberry Lime Shrub. And if you were hoping for a more adult beverage, add a shot of vodka or gin to spice things up!

SIDENOTE about shrubs - Oak’s shrubs are always of the acidulated fruit type, never the vinegared syrup stuff which is confusingly also called a shrub, but is arguably much less delicious though it claims health benefits. We will stick with the tasty strain of shrub here at Oak. 😛
