Oak will be closed from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm this Saturday, the 24th, for a private remembrance of our dear Tim Purtill. He is one of Oakβs three owners, and after a battle with cancer, he passed away in December.
Tim owned Oak with his wife, Kelly, and their friend, Jeff.
If you have ever enjoyed a moment at Oak, please understand that it would not be possible without Tim. Tim literally built the space that we all call our neighborhood home-away-from-home. The floor, walls, table design, dΓ©cor, and general βOak vibeβ β that is Tim. If he didnβt personally build it, he taught the rest of us how to do it.
Though usually behind the scenes at Oak, his loving nature was felt every day.
Timβs impact on the world around him greatly exceeds his accomplishments with Oak, and Oak will be just one lasting metaphor of a life lived with artistry, honesty, nobility, and love.
Tim, you will forever be missed and will always be in our hearts, and within the walls of Oak.
Have your cake and drink it too!! One of Oakβs holiday special cocktails, βTruffle shuffleβ is liquid dessert with Kahlua, Frangelico, vegan whipped cream (contains coconut) π«πΉπ drink one alongside an Oak cupcake for dessert!π§

Oakβs popular Fried Chicken Kale Caesar just had a little upgrade! We had been using baby kale, but now we are using lush curly kale, which is massaged and thinly sliced before mixed with fresh romaine. Just when we thought this dish couldnβt get any heartier!! Such a satisfying meal through and through! (π±vegan and vegetarian versions available using @rebellyous vegan tenders!)
